Teen shot in Lawndale: police

The 17-year-old was found with a gunshot wound in the 3900 block of West Grenshaw Street.

Two women were wounded in a drive-by.

He was taken to Mount Sinai where his condition was stabilized.

A 17-year-old boy was shot in the leg Saturday in Lawndale on the Southwest Side.

Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert about 1:35 a.m. and found the boy on the street in the 3900 block of West Grenshaw Street, Chicago police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where his condition was stabilized.

The boy was uncooperative and didn’t provide further information, police said.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
