A man was killed and a woman wounded in shooting Sunday in Lawndale on the West Side.

The pair was outside about 3:35 a.m. in the 1500 block of South Drake Avenue when a male on foot opened fire, Chicago police said.

The 29-year-old woman was struck in the arm, and she was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition.

Jermaine King, 26, was shot in the chest and was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine his official cause of death.

No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
