A man was shot by someone he was arguing with Friday in Lake View on the North Side.

The 54-year-old was arguing with someone he knows when that male shot him about 10:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of West Cornelia Avenue, according to Chicago police. The shooter ran away.

The man was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in good condition with a gunshot wound to the buttocks, police said.

Ald. Tom Tunney (44th) said that police believe an employer was shot by an employee at a construction site.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
