Man fatally shot in Dolton

A man was killed in a shooting Tuesday in south suburban Dolton.

Leonard Wallace, 49, was shot multiple times about 12:15 p.m. in the 14800 block of Michigan Avenue in Dolton, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Wallace, of south suburban Riverdale, was pronounced dead about three hours later, the medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy confirmed he died of his injuries and ruled his death a homicide.

“Multiple detectives are assigned to the case and the investigation is ongoing,” a spokesperson for the village said in a statement.
