Police are warning residents in Austin and Logan Square of a pair of robberies reported this month in the West and Northwest side neighborhoods.

In both cases, the suspect knocked someone to the ground from behind and took their property, Chicago police said.

One robbery happened at 12:26 p.m. May 1 in the 1300 block of North Central Avenue, police said. Another took place at 11:23 p.m. May 9 in the 1600 block of North Hamlin Avenue.

The suspect was described as a male standing 5-foot-7 and weighing 190 pounds.
