Two men were shot Sunday, one of them fatally, in Riverdale on the Far South Side.

They were in a parking lot when they got into an argument with the male suspect about 12:35 a.m. in the 1000 block of East 132nd Street, according to Chicago police. The suspect left the parking lot and walked to a home before firing at the men through the door.

David Scott, 24, was hit in the left side of his torso and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

An autopsy conducted Sunday confirmed Scott died of his gunshot wounds, the medical examiner’s office said. His death was ruled a homicide.

The other man, 20, was shot in the leg and taken to Christ Medical Center in fair condition, police said.

No one is in custody as Area Two detectives investigate.
