Chicago’s Chance the Rapper is hosting a “celebration of democracy” on Nov.7 from 3 to 7 p.m. outside the main entrance of Virgin Hotels Chicago (Wabash and Lake) in an effort to reach out to young voters and get them to the polls.

Performances by Chicago artists Twin Peaks, Malcolm London, Taylor Bennett, Eryn Allen Kane, Stefan Ponce, and DJ oddCouple are expected. The event is presented in conjunction with Chance the Rapper’s nonprofit SocialWorks organization. Chance, along with reps from that organization, will be leading a “Parade to the Polls” to get voters to the polling station at 15 W. Washington for early voting.

The event is free; an after party event in the hotel’s Commons Club will be open to patrons 21+over (drinks/appetizers will be available for purchase).

“This election is very important, a chance for new leaders and new opportunities to emerge,” Chance said. “SocialWorks and I are proud to partner with Virgin Hotels Chicago, Boost Your Voice and The TurboVote Challenge to give everyone a voice in the democratic process and encourage people to vote, both locally and nationally,” Chance said in an official statement.
