We’ve had all kinds of TV design competition shows, and now Spike TV is launching “Framework,” a first-ever furniture design competition series. It’s set to debut Jan. 6 on the cable network, hosted by Chicago hip-hop artist, actor and author Common. The program will showcase top young furniture designers — all competing for a $100,000 cash prize and the opportunity for their work to be sold by a major manufacturer.
Over the course of 10 weeks, 13 designers will work with unconventional materials, be asked to rethink classic furniture designs and demonstrate their ability to be creative.
