A 16-year-old boy was shot Sunday morning in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

About 6:10 a.m., the teenager was walking in an alley in the 2800 block of West Polk when he heard gunfire and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in both legs and taken in good condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.
