2 shot in Austin

Two men were shot Sunday afternoon in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The shooting occurred at 5:39 p.m. in the 900 block of North Lamon Avenue, police said.

A 24-year-old man was shot in the left leg and taken to Stroger Hospital, and a 23-year-old man was shot in the right arm and taken to South Shore Hospital. Both their conditions stabilized, police said.

A police source said both men are gang members and are being uncooperative.
