DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR

TUESDAY, AUGUST 11, 2009

In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing, the Economic Daily Briefing, and meet with senior advisors in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed press.

The President will then travel to Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The departure from the South Lawn and the arrival at Pease Air National Guard Base are open press.

The President will hold a town hall on health insurance reform at Portsmouth High School. At the town hall, the President will discuss what health insurance reform will mean for Americans who already have insurance, highlighting the consumer protections he laid out in recent weeks and focusing on ending denial of coverage based on preexisting conditions. The event is open press.

In the afternoon, the President will return to Washington, DC. The arrival on the South Lawn is open press. After returning, the President will meet with Secretary of Defense Robert Gates in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.
