A day after Northwestern point guard Michael “Juice” Thompson scored a career-high 35 points against Minnesota, the Wildcats and Thompson couldn’t find the same magic and lost in overtime to No. 1 Ohio State 67-61 in the Big Ten Tournament’s quarterfinal round at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

The Wildcats were hoping to not only beat a No. 1 team for the first time in the program’s history, but also to make the tournament’s semifinals for the first time since the tournament began in 1998.
