Bears linebacker D.J. Williams suffered a chest injury in the third quarter of Thursday night’s home game against the Giants and will not return.
Williams appeared to get hurt tackling Brandon Jacobs on the Giants’ scoring drive that ended with a 1-yard Jacobs touchdown run with 6 seconds left in the quarter.
Rookie Jon Bostic replaced him at middle linebacker. He played for Williams in the first quarter, too, marking Bostic’s first appearance on defense this season.
