Northwestern starting quarterback Kain Colter left Saturday’s game at Iowa with what appeared to be a knee injury. He was replaced at quarterback by Trevor Siemian.

Colter re-entered the game on Northwestern’s next offensive series.

On a third-and-seven, Colter ran the ball for a first down and was tackled at the Wildcats’ sideline. He stayed on the ground, grabbing his knee. He then needed to be helped to the training table where he was examined.

Minutes later, Colter was seen walking on the sideline but has not returned to the game.

Siemian typically shares snaps with Colter but hadn’t played Saturday until Colter was hurt. Siemian had a terrible outing against Minnesota last week.
