Josh McCown looked sharp in the second half against the Redskins and again this week beating the Packers. Meanwhile, starting QB Jay Cutler has been cleared to play in a pivotal game this weekend against NFC North rival Detroit. The starter? Cutler. But some fans have voiced concerns about the choice: let Cutler get some more rest for a playoff run and let hot-handed McCown give it another go. Others, though, defended Cutler: he’s the starter getting paid the big bucks, right?

So we asked you, the readers, who you’d pick to get the start. By a wide margin, the over 1,100 of you that voted in the (unscientific) poll picked McCown.

QB Votes Percent

Jay Cutler33029.31%

Josh McCown75366.87%

Tim Tebow252.22%

For fun, some write-ins receiving multiple votes included Drew Brees, Kyle Orton, and “me.”
