Charles Tillman did not participate in Bears practice Thursday as he continues to recover from a groin injury.

Last week, when dealing with a knee problem, Tillman practiced Friday. Bears coach Marc Trestman wouldn’t speculate whether that would be the case again this week.

“He’s day to day,” Trestman said. “We’re hopeful, and I’ll tell you exactly where he is (Friday).”

He said the Bears were “optimistic,” but would know more later about Tillman, who first felt tightness in his groin in the third quarter against the Steelers.
