Several reports on social media suggest a fire on Brown Line tracks near the Merchandise Mart.
CTA initially confirmed a small track fire near the Mart that is “not affecting service.” It later tweeted some Brown and Purple line express trains are operating with residual delays.
Officials are on the scene, but haven’t removed power from the tracks, according to CTA.
