Man shot on West Side

A man was shot multiple times early Sunday in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The 25-year-old man was standing on the street in the 3900 block of West Ohio Street a few minutes before 2 a.m. when he “heard shots and felt pain,” police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

He was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in “stable” condition with gunshot wounds to the right hand and buttocks, Alfaro said.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
