Woman shot in Austin

A woman was shot Saturday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 19-year-old woman was shot about 9:55 p.m. in the 100 block of North LaCrosse Avenue, police News Affair Hector Alfaro said.

The woman was standing on the sidewalk when her ex-boyfriend walked up to her and shot her in both legs, Alfaro said.

She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in “stable” condition, Alfaro said.
