Man robs TCF Bank branch inside Jewel store in Aurora

(AURORA) A man robbed a TCF Bank branch Wednesday morning in west suburban Aurora.

The robber entered the bank, located inside a Jewel grocery store in the 1900 block of West Galena Boulevard, about 11:40 a.m., according to a statement from Aurora police.

He approached a teller, and handed him a note demanding money, police said. After he got an undisclosed amount of cash, he walked out of the store. No one was hurt during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 20s, about 5-foot-9 with a medium build, with a moustache and glasses. He was wearing a baseball hat; gray, red and blue New York Knicks polo shirt with a logo on the right sleeve and left breast; dark-colored pants and light-colored gym shoes.
