A Chicago company is recalling nearly 170,000 pounds of beef products that may be contaminated with E.coli.

El Cubano Wholesale Meats is recalling 169,620 pounds of beef cheek meat products that were distributed to stores and restaurants in Chicago, according to the statement from the Illinois Department of Agriculture.

The products included in the recall have the establishment number “EST. 4653a” inside the USDA mark of inspection and establishment name “Iowa Best Beef,” according to the statement.

The problem was discovered during a routine inspection, according to the statement. The IDOA is concerned that some products may be stored in freezers in restaurants or stores.
