No one was injured early Monday when a fire broke out in a vacant building in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

Firefighters responded to the blaze in the 1 1/2 story building in the 5200 block of South Union and it was struck out by about 4:15 a.m., according to Fire Media Affairs.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known as firefighters performed an overhaul of the building and the Office of Fire Investigation Division investigated.
