A man was shot to death Wednesday night in the East Garfield Park neighborhood, police said.

Someone walked up to the 24-year-old about 6:45 p.m. in the 400 block of North Springfield and shot him in the head and leg, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office has not confirmed the death. Area North detectives are investigating.
