42-year-old man shot in foot in Austin

A man was wounded in a shooting Friday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 42-year-old was standing on the sidewalk about 8:50 p.m. in the 700 block of North Waller when he heard gunshots and felt pain, Chicago Police said.

He was taken to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park with a gunshot wound to his left foot, police said. His condition had stabilized.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
