Boy, 15, shot in Brainerd

A 15-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting Sunday afternoon in the Brainerd neighborhood on the South Side.

The boy was walking when he heard shots and felt pain about 2:45 p.m. in the 1700 block of West 90th Place. He then saw a male in a ski mask walking nearby, Chicago police said.

He was shot in his left leg and was taken by ambulance to Christ Medical Center where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Area South detectives were investigating.
