An 18-year-old south suburban man, last seen at the University of Illinois-Chicago, has been missing since late April.

Gabriel Montes, 18, was last seen April 21 on the UIC campus near the intersection of Harrison and Racine, according to a missing person alert issued Wednesday.

Montes, who lives in the 300 block of East 167th Street in Harvey, was described as a black man who stands 5-foot-10 and weighs 190 pounds. He has brown eyes, black hair and a medium brown complexion, police said.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Area South Special Victims detectives at (312) 747-8274.
