A 31-year-old man was critically wounded in a shooting early Sunday on the Near West Side.

The man was arguing with another male in the 1200 block of South Union Avenue about 2 a.m. when the male went to his car, which was parked nearby, got a gun and shot the man, according to Chicago Police.

The man suffered gunshot wounds to the abdomen, chest and left leg and was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital, police said.

No one has been taken into custody in connection with the shooting as of early Sunday. Area Central detectives are investigating.
