A man was shot in both legs early Thursday in the Brainerd neighborhood on the South Side.

The 23-year-old was standing outside with a group of friends at 12:49 a.m. in the 1300 block of West 91st Street when two males fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in both legs and was taken in good condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.

Police said the victim is a documented gang member and the shooting is believed to be gang-related.
