A man was shot Thursday afternoon in the South Side Washington Park neighborhood.

The shooting happened about 1:35 p.m. in the 5600 block of South Wabash, according to Chicago Police.

The 22-year-old victim was shot in the lower left leg and took himself to Provident Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, police said.
