A man was stabbed during a street fight Tuesday night on the Near North Side.

The 29-year-old was fighting with another male near the intersection of Walton and State streets when the male pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the chest, according to Chicago police.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Area Central detectives were investigating.
