A 16-year-old girl went missing over a month ago from the North Lawndale neighborhood on the city’s West Side.

Deja Pondexter was last seen August 16 in the 2200 block of South Lawndale, according to a missing person alert from Chicago Police. Her family is concerned for her well-being.

Pondexter was described as a 5-foot-2, 180-pound black girl with a medium complexion, black hair and brown eyes, police said.
