A new poll shows Attorney General Lisa Madigan has a significant, double-digit lead over her Republican opponent, Paul Schimpf.

The Reboot Illinois/We Ask America poll has Madigan with a 56-31 lead, while Libertarian candidate Ben Koyl gets 5 percent. Of the 1,096 likely voters polled, 8 percent said they’re undecided.

Another strong showing for Lisa Madigan who remains above the 50 percent mark — a very strong position, said We Ask America Chief Operating Officer Gregg Durham. Her Chicago and suburban Cook numbers are extremely strong.
