Boehner: Putin's a 'thug'

House Speaker John Boehner has had enough of Russian president Vladimir Putin, and didn’t hold back Monday in an exclusive meeting at The Cincinnati Enquirer.

While he did say it’s time to join Europe and impose sections against Russia for its action in Ukraine, he didn’t specify what those sactions should be.

He also didn’t hold back on his opinion of Putin.

It’s time to stand up to (Vladimir) Putin, Boehner said, calling the Russian leader a thug. At what point do you say enough is enough. We are at that point.

On other topics, Boehner also said he plans to seek re-election as House Speaker and said the purchase of a condominium in Florida has nothing to do with his political future.
