Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner is focusing on one simple concept: Deja vu.

Rauner’s latest ad, which he put out today, comes after two separate law-enforcement agencies launched a new round of inquiries Friday into Gov. Pat Quinn’s now-defunct Neighborhood Recovery Initiative, which has sent Quinn in damage-control mode.

Quinn made the rounds late last week insisting he did nothing wrong and would not tolerate impropriety.

And it’s exactly that in which Rauner has keyed in on — with the help of some news clips of former Gov. Rod Blagojevich.
