WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama on Wednesday flies to Arkansas to view tornadoes and severe storms damage and then heads to Los Angeles to headline Democratic fundraisers and deliver remarks at a dinner for the Shoah Foundation.

DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR

WEDNESDAY, MAY 7, 2014

In the morning, the President and Vice President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

Later in the morning, the President will travel to central Arkansas to view the devastation from the recent tornadoes and severe storms and meet with the families affected by this disaster, as well as first responders and recovery workers. The departure from the South Lawn is open press, and the arrival at Little Rock Air Force Base is open to pre-credentialed media. The President’s statement will be covered by the travel pool.

In the afternoon, the President will depart central Arkansas en route Los Angeles, California. The departure from Little Rock Air Force Base and the arrival at Los Angeles International Airport are open to pre-credentialed media.

In the evening, the President will deliver remarks and answer questions at a joint event for the DSCC and DCCC. There will be print pool coverage for remarks only.

Later in the evening, the President will be honored at a dinner hosted by the USC Shoah Foundation. There will be travel pool coverage of this event.

The President will remain overnight in Los Angeles.
