When it comes to 2016, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-California, is keeping her fingers crossed and rooting for Mitt Romney.

In an interview with The Hill, Pelosi was asked if Romney has any chance of beating Hillary Clinton in a head-to-head matchup.

“No, no. I mean, he might be a nice person — no offense, no offense — [but] let’s save you time,” Pelosi said.

According to The Hill, Pelosi then smiled, saying “Let me put it this way — I hope he’s their nominee.”

Pelosi isn’t the first Democrat to make a request for Romney.

Those close to Hillary Clinton share the same view.

“I would like to run against Mitt Romney in every election forever,” Tommy Vietor, a former staffer said earlier this month.
