Everything about Joakim Noah is unique, including his childhood. Noah grew up in France, with famous parents, Yannick and Cécilia Noah.

But one thing that wasn’t unique was his taste in music. Just like so many others his age, Noah said he was a big fan of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.

I didn’t know NWA too well. I used to listen to The Chronic and Doggystyle. My mom bought those for e when I was in third grade, living in Paris. Those albums just came out and she gave them to me. I had no idea about those lyrics or what they were talking about. I could just feel the energy and I loved it.

If there is one thing Noah knows, it’s energy. Since being drafted by the Bulls in 2007, Noah has been the heart and soul of the team.

In the past, Noah has talked about the influence music has had in his life. In addition to being a world-class tennis player, his father was a Grammy nominated recording artist.

He has repeatedly said that reggae music has always played a big role in his life, especially Bob Marley.
