Chicago Theatre Week 2017 has just the ticket(s) for fans

Add this to your “must do” list for 2017: Chicago Theatre Week will take place Feb. 9-19, 2017, it was announced today.

The 10-day annual fest under the auspices of the League of Chicago Theatres in partnership with Choose Chicago, celebrates the city’s rich theater heritage by offering discounted tickets — $15-$30 (or less) — to more than 100 area stage productions.

“Chicago Theatre Week is an excellent opportunity to experience the breadth of Chicago’s expansive and renowned theatre community and we’re thrilled to see this celebration now in its fifth year,” said David Whitaker, President and CEO of Choose Chicago in a prepared statement. “It is our celebrated theatre scene — from the large productions to the Tony-award winning theatres to neighborhood storefront performances—that help make Chicago such an exciting destination. These 11 days offer a unique chance to get the most out of a Chicago theatre itinerary.”

Tickets for the lineup of shows will go on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 10, 2017.
