Only one week till the MCA exhibit “David Bowie Is” opens to the public.

As this is the only U.S. stop this year on the exhibit’s tour, Mayor Rahm Emanuel is declaring Sept. 23 as “David Bowie Day” in Chicago.

But don’t take my word for it — here’s the official proclamation:
