British soul singer Michael Kiwanuka has taken ill and canceled his North American tour, including this Saturday’s gig at the Park West.

“He has vocal damage and has been diagnosed with tonsillitis,” said a statement from show promoter Jam Productions. “He is under doctor’s orders and is unable to perform.”

Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.
