A 17-year-old west suburban boy is facing multiple charges after allegedly robbing a person at gunpoint in southwest suburban Plainfield.

On Sept. 28, the victim reported being battered and robbed at gunpoint by two people in the 1500 block of Simons Road in unincorporated Plainfield, according to a statement from Kane County sheriff’s office.

An investigation led authorities to the Oswego boy, who was charged Oct. 28 with armed robbery, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, and criminal damage to property, the sheriff’s office said. He was arrested Oct. 31 and is being held at the Kane County Juvenile Justice Center.

A second suspect remains at-large, Deputy Nancy Velez said.
