An 18-year-old man was shot Wednesday morning in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

He was standing with a group at 101st and Wentworth at 11:18 a.m. when a gold car drove up and a male suspect got out and fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

The shooter got back into the car and drove off after the shooting.

The 18-year-old was struck in the right ankle, and was taken in good condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.

A police source said the victim is a documented gang member and has a warrant out for his arrest for unlawful use of a weapon.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
