Two people were wounded in a shooting Sunday night during a South Shore neighborhood robbery.

About 9 p.m., a 24-year-old man was walking in the 7800 block of South Sagniaw when a male walked up, pulled out a gun and announced a robbery, according to Chicago Police.

The man tried to push the robber away, prompting the suspect to open fire and shoot the man in the leg before running away with the his cell phone, police said. The man later showed up at South Shore Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.

A 57-year-old woman, who was standing about 10 yards behind the man at the time of the shooting, was struck by a stray bullet, police said. She suffered a graze wound to the right hand and was taken to South Shore Hospital, where she was also listed in good condition.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
