Man hurt in Austin shooting

A man was wounded in a shooting Friday afternoon in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

The 28-year-old was shot in the foot about 2:20 p.m. in the 5300 block of West Gladys, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Police could provide no other information about the shooting.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
