A man was fatally shot early Sunday in the Tri-Taylor neighborhood on the West Side.

Officers responding about 3:05 a.m. to a call of a person shot in the 2400 block of West Lexington found the 23-year-old man lying on the ground, suffering from gunshot wounds to the back, according to Chicago Police.

Rashad Xavier Collins-Baker was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:45 a.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He lived in the 5000 block of West Elm Street.

An autopsy found he died of multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
