A man was shot dead in a parked vehicle Saturday night in the South Side Gresham neighborhood.

Robert McClinton, 28, was sitting in a parked vehicle in an alley in the 8300 block of South Hermitage at 7:32 p.m. when someone walked up and shot him in the head, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

McClinton, of the 8100 block of South Loomis, was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:45 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office. He lived in the 8100 block of South Loomis.
