Man shot in Auburn Gresham

A 20-year-old man was shot midday Sunday in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.

He was standing in the 8500 block of South Ashland about noon when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been shot in the arm, according to Chicago Police.

He took himself to Little Company of Mary Hospital and Health Care Center in Evergreen Park, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
