Two men were wounded in separate shootings a few minutes apart Wednesday morning in the Austin and West Garfield Park neighborhoods on the West Side.

About 10:40 a.m., a 28-year-old man was shot in the hand in the 4300 block of West Van Buren, according to Chicago Police.

He showed up at Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.

About 10 minutes later, a man in his 30s was shot in the 4700 block of West Harrison, police said.

He walked into West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park with a gunshot wound to the left thigh, police said. He was also listed in good condition.

Police said the shootings are not believed to be related.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
