A man was shot early Tuesday in the Marquette Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 47-year-old was standing on a front porch at 12:08 a.m. in the 6300 block of South Rockwell when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been shot in the left thigh, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
