Man shot in West Englewood

A 19-year-old man was shot in the leg early Sunday in West Englewood on the South Side, according to Chicago Police.

The attack happened about 4:45 a.m. in the 1400 block of West 71st Place, police said.

He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

The circumstances of the shooting were not immediately known.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
